The Study Zone believes that a child should never experience abuse of any kind.
We have a responsibility to promote the welfare of all children and young people and to keep them safe. We are committed to practice in a way that protects them.

3. Recognising Abuse & Neglect
I am committed to staying alert to signs of abuse and neglect, including:
- Physical, emotional, or sexual abuse.
- Neglect or failure to provide basic care.
- Bullying (including cyberbullying) and peer-on-peer abuse.
- Radicalisation or grooming.
4. Procedure for Recording Concerns
If I have a concern about a child’s welfare, or if a child makes a disclosure:
- Listen & Reassure: I will listen to the child, take them seriously, but never promise "total secrecy."
- Record: I will write a factual account of the concern as soon as possible. This “Chronology of Concern” is kept in a secure, locked file.
- Refer: If I suspect a child is at risk of significant harm, I will contact the local authority immediately.
5. Reporting to Local Authorities (Wirral)
In accordance with local procedures, all serious concerns will be reported to the Wirral Safeguarding Children Partnership (WSCP):
